Honolulu Tech Week – Terms & Conditions
By attending any event organized as part of Honolulu Tech Week ("HTW"), including but not limited to events hosted by Honolulu Tech Week LLC and those hosted by participating community members, you agree to the following terms and conditions:
1. Acceptance of Terms
By signing up for Honolulu Tech Week and registering for, attending, or participating in any event during HTW, you acknowledge that you have read, understood, and agree to be bound by these Terms & Conditions.
2. Liability Waiver
You acknowledge and agree that your attendance and participation in any HTW event is at your own risk. Honolulu Tech Week LLC, its affiliates, sponsors, partners, volunteers, and agents (collectively "HTW Parties") shall not be held liable for any injuries, losses, damages, claims, or expenses of any kind arising from or related to your participation in HTW events, whether hosted by HTW Parties or any third parties. You agree to indemnify and hold harmless HTW Parties from any liability or claims made by yourself or others due to your participation in any HTW event.
3. Photography and Media Consent
By attending HTW events, you consent to being photographed, filmed, or recorded by HTW or its authorized representatives. You grant HTW the right to use your likeness, voice, and any statements you make in connection with HTW events for promotional, marketing, educational, or other business purposes without compensation or prior approval. This includes use in social media, websites, marketing materials, and other media.
4. Code of Conduct
All attendees are expected to conduct themselves professionally and respectfully. HTW reserves the right to remove any individual from events for disruptive, inappropriate, or harmful behavior. This includes but is not limited to harassment, discrimination, illegal activities, or conduct that interferes with the event experience for others.
5. Intellectual Property
Content shared during HTW events, including presentations, materials, and discussions, may be subject to intellectual property rights of the presenters or third parties. Attendees agree not to record, reproduce, or distribute such content without explicit permission from the content owner.
6. Event Changes and Cancellations
HTW reserves the right to modify, reschedule, or cancel events at any time due to circumstances beyond our control, including but not limited to weather, venue issues, or public health concerns. HTW will make reasonable efforts to notify attendees of any changes, but shall not be liable for any costs or damages resulting from such changes.
7. Changes to Terms
HTW reserves the right to modify these Terms & Conditions at any time. Changes will be effective upon posting to the official HTW website (honolulutechweek.com/terms-conditions).
8. Governing Law
These Terms & Conditions shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the State of Hawaii.
